Hearing on Jagan's plea adjourned to Jan4
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on the bail petition of Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy to Janauary 4.
The High Court told Jagan's counsel
that as the Supreme Court had given three months time to the CBI to
complete its investigation, it would be appropriate for him to apply for
bail after that time.
It may be recalled here that earlier the
Special CBI court had rejected two separate petitions seeking bail.
While the first petition was filed as a statutory right under Section
167 (2) Cr PC, the second regular petition was filed under Section 437
of the CrPC.
After this, Jagan moved the High Court seeking bail on November 30.
On Monday, the court dismissed the statutory bail plea and it adjourned hearing on the regular petition to December 26.
YS Jagan was arrested by the CBI on May 27, 2012 and is currently under judicial remand in Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad.
