A brave lady  she is, Mamata is right now fighting Hodgkin's Lymphoma. "I didn't  over-react and took the diagnosis bravely. The tough part is over; now I  have to fight it. For chemotherapy and radiation, I had to cut my  hair," she said.<br />

In October Lakshman Prasad, a resident  of Jhansi's Prem Nagar town along with his wife Vineeta and her family  had appeared on 'Rakhi Ka Insaaf', in which Sawant plays the role of a  judge and announces verdicts in cases of domestic violence, marital  discord and others. Prasad and Vineeta were married in February 2010. A  month after the marriage, they started living separately following a  marital discord.<br />

Rakhi who heard about the problems between the  couple has allegedly called Prasad an impotent for which the latter felt  ashamed and went into a state of depression. He according to his  parents stopped eating as he was deeply hurt with Rakhi's remarks on a  National Channel. Few days ago Prasad breathed his last and his parents  and relatives are saying that Rakhi Sawant is the reason for Prasad's  death.<br />

They are planning to file a case against Rakhi using the  video footage of that program as the evidence. Rakhi Sawant didn't  respond over this issue until now.</span></b>

<b>An amalgamation of various ‘hit' formulas, the movie is intended for the B and C class centres. </b><br />
<b>Football player Ramakrishna (Kalyanram) dotes on his sister  Harika (Saranya Mohan). And Harika constantly gets into scraps confident  her brother will bail her out. </b><br />
<b>Anjali (Sana Khan) loves the hero and is determined to win his  heart. Ramakrishna is enjoying the best of both worlds - a loving sister  and a beautiful girlfriend - when life takes a terrible turn. </b><br />
<b>Harika elopes with a man named Krishna Mohan (Kick Shyam). However, she has a tough time at her in-laws' house. </b><br />
<b>Unable to bear his sister's pain, Ramakrishna goes to  faction-ridden to set things right. He enters her in-laws' house as a  servant. How he succeeds in his mission forms the crux of the film. </b><br />
<b>Kalyanram is in great form, enacting his role with gusto. Sana is  glamorous, but her role isn't too meaty. Saranya, too, has performed  well. Kota Srinivasa Rao is simply superb and gives a praiseworthy  performance. </b><br />
<b>The story has nothing new in it. The brother-sister theme has  been a constant since the black-and-white days. Moreover, the director  confuses several elements - action, sentiment, love, comedy - and don't  use them well. </b><br />
<b>A major negative in the film is the action. Though the stunts are terrific, they don't gel with the story.  </b><br />
<b>The technical credits are Mani Sharma's music, cinematography by  Sarvesh Murari, and Gowtham Raju's editing. However, the much-required  tempo is missing from the script.  </b><br />
<b>The dialogues are powerful, but are out of place. The comedy is  fine, but don't always make the audience laugh. They are merely  speed-breakers.  </b><br />
<b>The same can be said about the songs, despite the nice music. </b><br />
<b>The saving grace of the film is that the second half is better than the first. However, for a film with a name like <i>Kathi</i>, the story is a letdown. </b><br />

</span>          <span style="font-family: Arial;">Brother and sister sentiment stories  laced with mass elements have now become so stale after the umpteen  movies made on the theme. So what new thing this                <span style="font-style: italic;">Kalyan Ram Katti </span>offers? In  one word, nothing. Not just the story is so formulaic, even the  narration and the driving points of the movie are so predictable that  half way through the movie, audiences easily can tell what scene comes  next. At one point it becomes so dreary to sit through. </span><br style="font-family: Arial;" />          <br style="font-family: Arial;" />                    <span style="font-family: Arial;">Moreover, the so-called entertainment  scenes are also so dull to laugh. The story itself is such hackneyed,  the director has hardly any engrossing ‘element’ on his hands, to  sustain the audiences’ interest. </span><br style="font-family: Arial;" />          <br style="font-family: Arial;" />                    <span style="font-family: Arial;">The only thing that is positive about  the film, it is made with some good budget which has given the movie  rich look. Performance wise he hasn’t improved much. He does okay.                <span style="color: mediumblue;">Sharanya Mohan</span> excels in  her role both as chirpy girl and as a suffering wife. Newcomer Sana Khan  has nothing much to do other than singing songs and                <span style="color: mediumblue;">Shaam</span> carries the movie with single expression throughout the movie. Veteran actor Kota is at his best. Other comedians are okay.</span><br style="font-family: Arial;" />          <br style="font-family: Arial;" />                    <span style="font-family: Arial;">On technical front, Sarvesh Murari’s  camera work deserves the praise. Ram Lakshman’s action stunts are also  good but they don't gel with the story. Writer Vakkantam has just  recycled the story of several mass masala movies and one wonders how  does Kalyan Ram, the producer, accepted such hackneyed storyline.  Dialogue writer Ratnam’s lines are also not effective. Music is another  drawback. Director Mallikarjun has tried to give the film a glossy look.  But he is letdown by the writers. Sehwag smashed a typically aggressive 96 that came off 120 deliveries  and included 15 fours and a six, while Gautam Gambhir, too, brought to  an end his poor run of scores with a much-needed fifty. <br />

Both the openers, however, got out in quick succession. Sehwag was  bowled while trying to hoick Daniel Vettori over midwicket while Gambhir  (54) was caught down the leg side by Gareth Hopkins off a Tim Southee  delivery. <br />
  <br />
The flamboyant Sehwag drove, pulled and employed the cut with real  authority during his stay at the wicket, while Gambhir relied on the  occasional nudges, flicks and drives to collect his runs during their  crucial 160-run partnership that gave India the platform to dominate  proceedings on Sunday. <br />
  <br />
In the last session, the two openers looked at ease as they collected 98  runs before getting out. Sehwag leaned on his backfoot and smashed a  Brent Arnel delivery through backward point to begin the proceedings  after tea. <br />
  <br />
In the same over, he flicked one that was going down the leg, through  deep square leg region for a boundary. As he was approaching his fifty,  Sehwag upped the ante whacking Vettori over midwicket for a boundary and  then took a single to get to his half-century. <br />
  <br />
Such was Sehwag’s dominance during the final session that Vettori, after  being at the receiving end of his onslaught, took himself out of the  attack. <br />
  <br />
Replacement Kane Williamson, too, met with a similar fate. The  belligerent opener smashed the part-timer for 14 runs, which included  two fours and a lofted shot straight down the ground for maximum,  moments after completing his half-century. <br />
  <br />
The story went on similar line for Tim Southee as Sehwag hit the pacer for a flurry of boundaries in the following overs. <br />
  <br />
Gambhir was not too far behind as the left-hander, searching for ways to  come out of the bad patch that has plagued his career of late, rocked  back to cut a Vettori delivery for a four through point. <br />
  <br />
Sehwag didn’t quite start aggressively, and was two off 23 at one point, but once he got his eye in, there was no looking back. <br />
  <br />
Tim Southee strayed one down the leg and Sehwag whipped it off his pads  and then drove the bowler through the cover region for a boundary. <br />
  <br />
The Delhi dasher, in the next over, steered one down the third-man  region for a boundary, and then flicked another Martin delivery through  the midwicket region. <br />
  <br />
Gambhir, meanwhile, after getting a life at the start of the innings,  got into the act and collected some useful runs through drives and  pulls. There was a chance for New Zealand when Gambhir nicked Tim Southee but the edge flew over Ross Taylor at first <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD3">slip</span>. <br />

Earlier, Harbhajan Singh, after going wicket-less on the opening day, accounted for four New Zealand  batsmen, while Zaheer Khan added two more to his two wickets on the  first day, to give the Indian batsmen enough time to notch up a  competitive total. <br />
  <br />
Struggling with the ball in recent times, Harbhajan gave the hosts an  important breakthrough when he had Jesse Ryder, who threatened to take  the game away from India with a valiant knock of 70, caught at first slip by VVS Laxman. <br />
  <br />
The off-spinner then accounted for skipper Vettori, Southee and last man Martin, after Zaheer removed Hopkins and Williamson. <br />
  <br />
On a high after scoring a century in the <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD2">first Test</span> in Ahmedabad, Ryder <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD5">continued</span> his good run with the bat as New Zealand, resuming at an overnight 258 for four, went to lunch at 341 for the loss of five more wickets. <br />
  <br />
The left-hander struck 10 boundaries during his knock that came off 120  deliveries, and got to his fifty with a cut over backward point off S  Sreesanth. <br />
  <br />
Ryder’s knock was important from New Zealand’s point of view, especially  after Zaheer threatened to run through the Kiwi line-up with an  incisive spell of swing bowling early in the morning, and Harbhajan’s  dismissal of Vettori sometime before lunch. <br />
  <br />
Zaheer gave India the start they needed when the left-arm seamer,  bowling from round the stumps, had Hopkins trapped in front in the day’s  third over. <br />
  <br />
The round-the angle line again did the trick for Zaheer as the seamer  trapped Williamson before the batsman could get his bat around to give  the bowler his fourth wicket. <br />
  <br />
Harbhajan then got into the act, first removing Vettori, and then  accounting for the crucial wicket of Ryder who was looking good for a  century. <br />
