Even though, his earlier films like ‘Panjaa’ and ‘Atharintiki’ took 
time to go on sets, but Gabbar Singh 2, would be longest in his 
decade-old career, since it has been almost 1 year since script 
discussions began and lot of scripts were discussed, since Pawan Kalyan 
wants to give his old-time friend and ex-CEO of Maa TV, Mr. Sarath 
Marar, who was also executive producer of Pawan’s Johnny, a solid hit 
and personally taking lot of interest and mulling various options and 
that’s the reason for delay, says sources.<br />

Initially, they thought of buying the remake rights of Hindi hit ‘Oh 
My God’ and when the Hindi producers, quoted Rs 4 crores, Pawan backed 
out of it and urged director Sampath Nandi to come up with a good 
script. After three months, the director narrated a storyline to Pawan, 
but powerstar, wasn’t truly impressed with it and in turn,  suggested an
 idea to director and asked him to work on it- roughly a stylish cop 
story that would be far ahead of Gabbar Singh- Director and his team of 
writers, lived up to it and came up with an exciting plot. To make it 
fool proof- Pawan urged Mr. Sarat to procure the rights for using the 
title from Gabbar Singh title from Sippy’s and producer held discussions
 and readying Rs. 20 lakhs for the same.<br />

Meanwhile, Atharintiki became a biggest grosser and Pawan asked 
Sampath to fine-tune it again and prepared few more drafts, since Pawan 
insisted on adding more humour and entertainment values to the action 
plot. Even though, Pawan has four to five big offers, but Pawan is just 
sticking to his word and launch Sarath as a top producer and it would go
 on sets, soon, provided Pawan doesn’t raise any doubts, in between, 
almost like a slip between cup and the lip. So much for a friend, its 
rarity in cut-throat T-wood, What do you say?<br />

It’s been two days since Samantha tweeted “Saw a poster of a yet to 
be released Telugu film. Not only is it deeply regressive, but its point
 is actually that it is deeply regressive.” The online furore generated 
by the tweet just refuses to die down. For a fact, Sam did not even 
mention the name of the movie she was talking about.<br />

Angry Mahesh Babu fans kick started “GetLostSamanthaAnd Siddharth” 
and it was trending in Hyderabad in second place. The deluge of hate 
messages claiming the same have successfully diverted the attention from
 the crux of the issue — is the poster regressive?<br />

The poster shows actress Kriti Sanon crawling like a love sick puppy 
dog chasing footsteps of a not-soamused looking Mahesh Babu, holding his
 footwear in one hand (see pic above).<br />

“Someone please tell me this is a fake poster….have the highest 
regard for mahesh and sukumar…i do hope… it’s a fake,” posted Nandini 
Reddy. Well, looks like it is just a continuation of ‘Mahesh is just too
 good for any woman syndrome’ that we have been noticing from the time 
of Athadu.<br />

Remember the popular episode where Mahesh taunts Trisha about her 
modest looks saying, “Kallu emi antha peddaga levu…mukku kuda evaro 
Kottinattu konchem lopalaki untadi, pedda colour kuda kadu kada…” (your 
eyes are small, nose is bent inwards and you are not even fair skinned) 
indirectly hinting at Mahesh’s straight nose, and ‘milky white’ 
complexion! In another scene, Trisha taunts him, “Erraga untavani 
pogara?” (You are proud of your fair complexion) Mahesh retorts with, 
“Avunu…” before breaking into a monologue.<br />

Mana directors have never lost an opportunity to sneak in dialogues 
that rave about Mahesh’s good looks in most of his films. In 
Dookudu,Mahesh taunts Samantha with barbs like “Nee colour enti? Na 
colour enti.” “Bhumiki janedu levu ente nee confidence.” “Nenu pakkana 
ninchunte bhumi ninchi first floor ni chusi nattu ila chusthunnavu,” and
 the works, indicating how short she is. In Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle 
Chettu, we have a dialogue which goes “Ento eemadhya ammayilu ila padi 
pothunnaru naku…” (wonder why all the women are falling in love with me)<br />
In that context, this poster seems to be in line with the predominant sentiment.<br />

Telugu film historian Harikrishna Mamidi reckons there is more to the
 ‘Mahesh is so beautiful phenomenon’ than what meets the eye. 
“Traditionally, beauty has been considered a female virtue. But in the 
age of metrosexual man,we have the idea of male beauty in direct 
competition with feminine beauty.<br />

In Tollywood, it has found a manifestation in Mahesh Babu,” shares Harikrishna.<br />

However, there are others who believe that such instances just 
reiterate the irrelevance of the woman in Tollywood’s mindscape. “You 
don’t need to be a gender studies expert to figure out what that poster 
suggests. That mainstream Telugu cinema promotes medieval male 
tendencies is a known fact.<br />

But this poster marks a new low. Disrespect to women keeps 
manifesting in different ways on screen, be it the style of romance, the
 item numbers, the corny one-liners… the list goes on,” says Mahesh 
Kumar Katti, a film activist.<br />

Clearly, every Tollywood hero worth his salt endorses regressive male
 attitudes through movies under the facade of entertainment. And their

One thing is sure, Superstar Mahesh is going to give an all round 
entertainment this time for his fans. His upcoming ’1 Nenokkadine’ is 
going to be a 360 degrees showcase of talent and that is what including 
Sukumar, cinematographer Ratnavelu and even Mahesh have confirmed.<br />

Earlier in Dookudu, Mahesh looked more stylish but somehow the 
masculine factor went missing. Later in Seethamma Vaakitlo he looked 
quite class and as that movie is a pure family type flick, we can’t 
expect him look macho. But, it seems like even Superstar felt the need 
for a makeover and he got trained under experts to chisel out his body. 
Presenting that latest look, he signed a different script ’1 
Nenokkadine’ under Sukumar’s direction. So, his looks are fresh, but 
what about other lapses.<br />

Yes, there is a talk and even Mahesh agrees this. Always, his dances 
are quite normal and never he tries some special steps. During his days 
as child artist, Mahesh enthralled with huge dances but it is real 
surprise to see him distance from them after becoming a big hero. To 
keep check to all such ‘dance’ talks, Mahesh says that he tried 
everything big and special with ’1 Nenokkadine’. While talking at audio 
launch, he confirmed that choreographer Prem Rakshit composed all songs 
for him and asked his fans to get ready for the new dance show.<br />

At the same time, director Sukumar stressed that fans should get 
ready for a ‘new’ Mahesh as the actor re-invented himself for this flick
 and is re-introducing himself to Telugu audiences. So, its time to get 
ready for January 10th, in ’1 way’.<br />

Director Koratala Shiva has delivered one of the biggest hits of the 
year with Mirchi. Despite grand debut, Koratala is yet to launch his 
second directorial venture. He has already full script on hands but not 
finding heroes to launch the film. Ram Charan rejected this film and is 
going with Krishna Vamsi.<br />

Jr. NTR was reportedly angry with Koratala Shiva for not making the 
changes that he had asked for. Koratala Shiva is happy to wait until 
Mahesh Babu gets free. He was supposed to direct Mahesh Babu’s immediate
 film after Aagadu. When Koratala has pinned lot of hopes on that 
project, he gets a rude shock from Mahesh Babu!<br />

Superstar has suddenly brought in Aswini Dutt’s project ahead of all 
other commitments. He fell in love with Bollywood director duo Raj, DK 
script and said he will do this film after Aagadu. This film will be a 
quickie and completed in a flash. Even then Koratala Shiva will have to

Dil Raju’s daughter Hanshita got engaged yesterday at a grand 
ceremony in Rama Naidu Cine Village. Many celebrities made their way to 
the event. The absence of NTR and Mahesh was evident in the evening. 
Incidentally, they are the heroes of two of three movies Dil Raju 
produced this year.<br />

While Mahesh was absent due to 1-Nenokkadine audio function, it is 
said that NTR stayed away from the event due to the failure of Ramayya 
Vasthavayya. It is said that NTR is not happy with Dil Raju’s 
interference in the movie and thinks him one of the reasons for the 
movie failure. There were also news differences arose between them in 
the production of the movie. It is known that NTR did the movie with out
