Sankranthi means Transmigration of the sun from one rashi to the next. 
It is an hindu festival Celebrated on Fourteenth of January every year.A
 thousand years ago, Makara Sankranti was on 31 December and is now on 
14 January. According to calculations, from 2050 Makar Sankranti will 
fall on 15 January.The day is also believed to mark the arrival of 
spring in India and is a traditional event.Makara Sankranti is a solar 
event making one of the few Indian festivals which fall on the same date
 in the Gregorian calendar every year: 14 January, with some exceptions 
when the festival is celebrated on 13 or 15 January.In Hinduism, 
Uttarayana is considered auspicious, as opposed to Dakshinaayana, or the
 southern movement of the sun. Makara Sankranthi refers to the event of 
the Sun entering the zodiac sign of Makara or Capricorn.Sankranti is 
celebrated all over South Asia with some regional variations.This season
 is offering plenty of crop to the farmers like grains, fruits &

Makar Sankranti is the festival of thanks giving to nature for their 
Crop which make life possible on the Earth. Thus, the harvest festival 
of Pongal symbolizes the veneration of the first fruit. The crop is 
harvested only after a certain time of the year, and cutting the crop 
before that time is strictly prohibited. In Hindu temples bells, drums, 
clarinets and conch shells herald the joyous occasion of Pongal.<br />

Some of the rituals performed in the temple include the preparation of 
rice, the chanting of prayers and the offering of vegetables, sugar cane
 and spices to the gods. Devotees then consume the offerings to 
exonerate themselves of past sins.The festival is celebrated for four 
days. On, the first day, Bhogi, the old clothes and materials are thrown
 away and fired, marking the beginning of a new life.<br />

The second day, the Pongal day, is celebrated by boiling fresh milk 
early in the morning and allowing it to boil over the vessel – a 
tradition that is the literal translation for Pongal. People also 
prepare savories and sweets, visit each other’s homes, and exchange 
greetings. The third day, Mattu Pongal, is meant to offer thanks to the 
cows and buffaloes, as they are used to plough the lands. On the last 
day, Kanum Pongal, people go out to picnic.In south India, all three 
days of Pongal are considered important. However, those south Indians 
who have settled in the north usually celebrate only the second day. 
Coinciding with Makara Sankranti and Lohri of the north, it is also 
called Pongal Sankranti.<br />

The latest film from Mexican director, famous for ‘Amores Perros’ and
 ‘Babel’, focuses on the history of Riggan Thomson (Michael Keaton), an 
actor in decline trying, through a play on Broadway, claim their old 
glory days in which was a superhero: Birdman (birdman).<br />
In an interview with ‘W Radio’, the director Inarritu was happy for 
the nomination and emphasized teamwork with that achieved this 
production. Meanwhile, he stressed the role and the powers of actor 
Michael Keaton. “The role was perfect for him. He is great actor of 
comedy and drama. It is a difficult role. I was not mistaken and I am 
grateful to him, the trip was fun. I enjoyed it very much, “he said.<br />
Inarritu also praised the generation of Mexican directors in which he
 concurred life, highlighting names like Alfonso Cuaron and Guillermo 
del Toro. Finally, he stressed the other Oscar nominated films that will
 compete with. “All you are good movies, have their merits,” he said.<br />
On the side of <b>‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’</b>, which 
also aims to nine statuettes, plus film has better chances in the 
categories of photography, costumes, address (for Wes Anderson), 
editing, makeup and hair, original soundtrack, design production and 
original screenplay.<br />
In the competition as <b>best leading actors</b> are Michael Keaton (‘Birdman’), Steve Carell (‘Foxcatcher’),<br />

 extent but in Telugu he had never seen a flop, his last film Nanaban

Story Plot<br />

Story starts in a Village, Vikram is introduced as a body builder in 
the Village where he comes to see Amy Jackson who is a familiar model, 
he falls in love with her though she treats him like a normal friend, 
Vikram decides to become a model for her, he finds Villain there who is 
also a model and has some problems with Amy Jackson, Villain’s finds an 
virus named “I” which turns man more beautiful, he tries the same on 
Vikram first, though initially it works but later it shows abnormal 
behaviour and transforms hero into various shapes, on the other hand 
Villain tries to spoil Amy’s career, how Vikram transforms back into 
normal man and saves Amy from goons is the rest of the plot.<br />

Music by Ar Rehman, on screen 3 song were good, BGM was okay but more was expected from him for this kind of films.<br />
Camera work is top notch, one of the best works from PC Sreeram, 
Editing is good enough in the first half should have been crisper in the
 second half, Visual effects are by far the best among South Indian 
films, Fights were good. Production values were just amazing.<br />
<b>Director and His Film:</b><br />
Story of I seems to be very normal with some scientific touch but 
Shankar’s visualization of the same makes it  visual grandeur on screen,
 story was pitched up on love emotion but that was not strongly 
convinced by the director, while watching entire movie one feels that 
something grand is happening on the screen but can not connect to the 
emotion, heroine falls in love with hero only after he becomes model 
thats almost before interval where actual story kickstarts , screenplay 
was good but the film was bit lengthy especially in the second half, in 
the midway of the film post interval it makes you feel bore. Shankar has
 chosen best possible team for this movie and no doubt he has done a 
good job but something more was expected from him. Songs were well 
picturised but some of them were like speed breakers and none of them 
carried the film forward. Climax of the film was good and makes up for 
very dragging later half.<br />
Despite of many ups and downs in the narration, by the end you might 
feel satisfied for the money spent on ticket only for great locations 
and graphics, from Shankar’s point of view it is his weakest work in 
recent times.<br />

I (AI) movie has been released worldwide today January 14th on the 
occasion of Pongal. I Movie releasing around 3000 Screens all over the 
world in 3 languages simultaneously Tamil, Telugu, Hindi. Movie original
 language is Tamil and it was dubbed into Telugu and Hindi. I movie is 
first South Indian Cinema to get a big release across the world with 
major number of screens. It was shoot around 2-3 Years of Time period 
for the transformation of Vikram character in this movie.<br />
“I” Movie Starring Chaiyaan Vikram, Amy Jackson in the lead roles 
while other supporting roles were Suresh Gopi, Upen Patel, Santhanam, 
Ramkumar Ganesan, Srinivasan, Mohan Kapoor, Ojas M. Rajani. It was 
directed by the Creator of Robot (Enthiran) “Shankar” and produced by 
Aascar Ravi Chandran under the banner of Aascars pvt.limited. Music and 
Back Ground Score composed by Oscar Award Winner AR.Rahman. 
Cinematography done by the most experienced DOP Specialist PC Sreeram.

As the movie is releasing on pongal, the advance bookings for the 
movie has done a huge openings in the chennai and many places in India. 
The movie is expected to do well in the first week and expected to earn 
100 crores in the first week on it’s release. As there is no movie which
 give good competition to “I”, expect the Aambala but it was able to get
 decent screens not comparable with “I”. Considering the Pongal season 
and lack of movies it can easily surpass the records of Robo. It also 
has great advantage as it is releasing on Telugu and Hindi on the same 
day.  Telugu rights of the movie had sold at whooping 27 crores. 
Worldwide Theatricals were sold at 36 Crores. Both Vikram and Shankar 
having huge market in Telugu Film Industry. Even the trailers and 
Teasers looks promising, it will easily reach the audience. As the movie
 has already got hype from all sort of audience it is possibly do good 
even in overseas too. As it was Shankar’s movie, the film will attract

blockbuster audio and super crazy Pawan Kalyan- Trivikram combination

Despite of being stale project and heavy competition release, Yevadu

 at box office, released for Pongal 2014 with much hyped but weak 
opponent, Ram Charan’s mass appeal and Devi Sri Prasad’s bgm pulled 
audience to theaters with average talk itself.<br />

<b>3) Govindudu Andarivadele: Ram Charan – Krishnavamsi – Bandla Ganesh</b><br />
This Ram Charan’s family entertainer proved to be a better film from 
Krishnavamsi in recent times, with age old story and very routine 
screenplay film opened up with below average talk, but with Dushera 
festival advantage and Ram Charan’s classy appearance it managed to 
collect 28.2 Crores in first week itself in Ap+TG, this is a best 
example of how a star hero can pull off a film given festival advantage 
with below par talk and weak audio also.<br />

<b>4) Gopala Gopala: Pawan Kalyan/Venkatesh – Kishore Pradasany – Suresh babu</b><br />
Recent release, remake of hindi film Oh My God Gopala Gopala banking 
on Pawan Kalyan’s craze collected 26.40 Crores in first week in Ap+TG, 
with strong competition from Shankar’s I and average talk film did good 
at box office in the first week, considerably a different attempt and 
with no mass factors film completely used Pongal festival advantage.</div>
