Online registrations for scholarships

<b><span class="EnglishContent">Hyderabad, Nov 20 (INN): The Department of  Social Welfare on Saturday announced that online fresh registrations for  scholarships to students pursuing college courses for the academic year  2010-11 will commence from November 21 to December 10, 2010. The  scholarship process has been made fully online by the Social Welfare  Department. Student records will be fetched from SSC / Inter servers  based on the application / SSC ID. For the academic year 2010-11,  students can apply online for fresh scholarships on the e-pass website  from November 21 to December 10, 2010. All students belonging to SC / ST  / BC / EBC and DW with family income of less than Rs 1 lakh are  eligible to apply for scholarships. <br />

Students must visit the e-pass website at<a href="http://www.blogger.com/%20http://epass.cgg.gov.in"> http://epass.cgg.gov.in</a>  Students who have received a scholarship for 2009-10, need to enter the  application ID, others who have not received a scholarship will have to  enter the SSC ID and year of passing. Email is compulsory for all  students to send the acknowledgement of the scholarship application.<br />

To apply online student will have to upload a Photograph, Income  Certificate and Caste Certificate. The students must provide a Bank  account; if a bank account is not available the Social Welfare  Department will arrange an eZ pay card from the SBI.<br />
<br />
Students who are not registered for the scholarship during this period  will not be eligible for the scholarship for the academic year 2010-11.  The registration for scholarship does not automatically entitle a  student to receive a scholarship, scholarships will granted only after  successful verification by the Department. Auto drivers in the twin cites are  planning to keep their autos off the roads from Tuesday midnight,  protesting against lack of response from the state government, to hike  minimum fares from Rs 12 to Rs 20.Members of the Auto Driverla  Ikyakaracharana Samithi (ADIS) said in a press conference on Friday,  that in the last year, petrol prices were revised nine times but the  government has not increased fares.“On Thursday, Transport  department principal secretary SP Singh said the Transport minister will  hold talks with auto unions to address our concerns on Tuesday morning.  If talks fail, we will be going on an indefinite strike,’’ Bharatiya  Mazdoor Sangh state secretary A Ravi Shankar said.He said in  metros like Mumbai and Delhi, auto fares were revised according to cost  of living and fuel prices. “This time we are not going to yield for  anything less than `20. There has been talk the government might hike  fares by a couple of rupees, but we strongly reject it,’’ ADIS members  said.Besides hike in fares, unions will be pressing the  government to implement several demands agreed to in 2008. One demand is  setting up sufficient gas stations for supplying CNG for gas-based  autos. ADIS members also demanded that autos registered under numbers AP  28 and AP 29 should be allowed to ply in Greater Hyderabad.“The then Transport minister Kanna Lakshminarayana promised a welfare board for auto drivers will be established.But till now no such board had been established,” Ravi Shankar added.</span></b>

<span style="font-size: small;"><b><span id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_lblDetailNews1">HYDERABAD: The  department of forests has issued notices to De Beers India, the Andhra  Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) and the mines and  minerals department seeking an explanation for not informing the forest  department about conducting prospecting in the reserve forest in  Mahaboobnagar district recently.Forest officials have demanded  that they be informed in advance by the companies about any activity  pertaining to prospecting for precious minerals in forest lands.  Speaking to reporters here today, forests minister P Ramachandra Reddy  clarified that diamond giant De Beers did not violate any government  orders by conducting an aerial survey of the reserved forests area of  Mahaboobnagar district. He, however, admitted that about 2.5 per cent of  the 6,000 sq km land given to De Beers India for prospecting for  precious minerals was within the reserve forest area.After  conducting a detailed probe into the alleged violations of government  orders by De Beers India, forests officials found that De Beers India,  APMDC and even the mines and minerals department of the state government  had failed to inform the forests department about the survey.“Though  they have the central government’s permit and need none from the state  forests department, it is their responsibility to inform us. We found  that there was no violation of the government orders but sought an  explanation from them for not informing us about their activity,” he  said.The mines and minerals department gave the ‘Reconnaissance  Permit’ to De Beers India for prospecting for diamond, copper ore, lead,  zinc and other precious minerals in an extent of 6,000 sq km in  Mahaboobnagar district for a period of three years. The orders were  issued in November last year based on the permits issued by the central  government.The forests department launched a probe into the  activities of De Beers India recently following alleged violation of  norms by the diamond company by conducting an aerial survey of the  reserve forest area without  permission.</span></b></span>

Gopichand Next Movie Titled as Wanted

<b>Gopichand is going to do a movie under Bhavya Creations banner. The  title of this film has been fixed as ‘Wanted’. With Deeksha Seth as  heroine opposite Gopichand, producer Vennigalla Anand Prasad is  introducing BVS Ravi as director.<br />

After ‘Souryam’, this is Gopichand’s 2nd film with Bhavya Creations.  According to the producer, this is an action entertainer in Gopichand’s  style. He says, “Wanted is the aptly suitable title because the heroine  wanted the villain and the villain wanted hero. The film’s shoot has  almost been completed except for 3 songs.” These 3 songs will be  picturised in Italy and Dubai from November 23rd onwards.</b> <b><br />

Director BVS Ravi claims that this is an action film blend with love and  family elements. “This is the first time Gopichand will be seen in a  character that would attract the mass as well as the youth. Jayasudha  and Chandra Mohan are playing his parents in this film. Rasool Yellora’s  cinematography is the main attraction,” said the director.</b> <b><br />
