ఇదే విషయమై శ్రుతి చెబుతూ - ‘‘ సినిమా సక్సెస్, ఫెయిల్యూర్ అనేది మన చేతుల్లో ఉండదు. కానీ నేను ఒప్పుకున్న పాత్రకు న్యాయం చేయడం అనేది నా చేతుల్లోనే ఉంటుంది కాబట్టి, పాత్రను పండించడానికి ఎంతవరకు కృషి చేయాలో అంతా చేస్తాను’’ అన్నారు. త్వరలో ఆమె నటించిన తమిళ చిత్రం ‘3’ విడుదల కానుంది. ప్రస్తుతం పవన్‌కళ్యాణ్ సరసన ‘గబ్బర్‌సింగ్’లో నటిస్తున్నారామె. ఈ చిత్రంలో పల్లెటూరి యువతిలా అగుపించబోతున్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా శ్రుతిహాసన్ మాట్లాడుతూ - ‘‘నేను పెరిగింది సిటీలోనే కాబట్టి పల్లెటూరి వాతావరణం నాకు తెలియదు. ఆ వేషధారణపై అవగాహన కూడా లేదు.<br />

అందుకని ‘గబ్బర్‌సింగ్’లో చేస్తున్న పాత్ర నాకు థ్రిల్‌నిస్తోంది. ఇప్పటివరకు నేను ఏ పాత్ర చేసినా.. వాటిలో నా రియల్ లైఫ్‌కు దగ్గరగా ఉన్న అంశాలు కొన్నయినా ఉన్నాయి. కానీ ‘గబ్బర్‌సింగ్’లోని పాత్ర అందుకు పూర్తి భిన్నం. హిందీలో ఈ పాత్రను సొనాక్షి సిన్హా చేశారు. ఆ పాత్రకు ఇప్పుడు నేను చేస్తున్న పాత్రకు చాలా వ్యత్యాసం ఉంది. అంతలా పాత్రలో మార్పులు, చేర్పులు చేశారు. అసలు సిసలు పల్లెటూరి యువతిలా మౌల్డ్ అయ్యి, చేస్తున్నాను. కచ్చితంగా ఓ డిఫరెంట్ శ్రుతిని చూస్తారు. నా స్వభావానికి దూరంగా ఉండటంవల్లనో ఏమో ఈ పాత్ర నాకు చాలా కిక్ అన్పిస్తోంది’’ అని చెప్పారు.</i></span></span></div>

ఇక పెద్ద సినిమాల విషయానికొస్తే... ‘దూకుడు’ సినిమా టైటిల్‌కు తగ్గట్టే తెలుగు సినిమా బాక్సాఫీస్ వద్ద ఓ ‘హై జంప్’ చేసేసింది. పోకిరి, మగధీర సినిమాల పేర్లు మాత్రమే అప్పటివరకు గుర్తు పెట్టుకున్న సినీ‘అభిమానుల’ డైరీలో ‘దూకుడు’ పేరు కొత్తగా చేర్చుకునేలా ఈ సినిమా హల్‌చల్ చేసింది. ఈ సినిమా మొత్తం వసూలు చేసింది... కొందరు ‘50 కోట్లు’ అంటే, మరికొందరు ‘70 కోట్లు’ అన్నారు. నిజానికి అది చేసిన కోట్లు ఎన్ని అనే విషయాన్ని పక్కన పెడితే... మహేష్‌బాబు, శ్రీను వైట్ల కెరీర్‌లో ఈ చిత్రం సువర్ణ అక్షరాలతో ‘కోట్’ చేసుకునే విధంగా పేరు తెచ్చుకుంది.</span><br />
