Two aged persons died in  Mamidipalli village in Dandepalli mandal in Adilabad on Tuesday morning.  The temperature had dropped to 3.5º C in the district two days ago,  recording the lowest temperature in the state. </b><br />
<b>The cold wave sweeping the coastal districts claimed five lives on  Tuesday in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Nellore.  Meawhile, the Met  department officials stated that there would be minor increase in night  temperatures especially in the coastal districts. In the next 24 hours,  the cold wave over Rayalaseema and Telang-ana regions will also subside.  “The average temperature in the state is about 5º Celsius below  normal,” said R.V. Subba Rao, assistant Met officer.</b><br />

Ask them what they like to  watch on TV and the two reply in unison, “cartoons!”  Deprived of a  normal childhood, the Siamese twins are only used to seeing people  dressed in white and who have been taking care of Vaani and Veena. </b><br />
<b>The doctors and nurses of Niloufer Hospital recently sent a letter to  the women and child welfare department requesting them to take steps  for the overall development of the eight-year-old conjoined twins.  Abandoned by their parents after birth, and who seldom come to visit  them from Warangal, the twins have been cared for by the doctors and  nurses of Niloufer Hospital for the last eight years. The government has  asked the Niloufer staff to summon the parents and discuss the issue  with them.</b><br />
<b>Away from peer groups and education, doctors fear that psychological  and socio-cultural development of the kids will suffer in a hospital  environment. Doctors explain that since the children are completely  normal, it is important that their parents take them home and keep them  with children of their age and educate them. However, the twin’s father,  N. Murali, refused to take the twins back home. “We aren’t  financially  capable of looking after them at home. I have two more daughters,  11-year-old Indu and another daughter Sindhu born after the twins. The  government had promised to get the twins operated. I only came as the  doctors called me to speak about the children’s education.”</b><br />

1,000 artists, 20 countries - India Art Fair cometh

Billed as one of the biggest carnivals of art this year, the fourth  India Art Fair here on January 25-29 will feature more than 1,000  artists by 91 art houses from 20 countries, including works by Salvador  Dali, Pablo Picasso, Damien Hirst, Anish Kapoor, Anthony Gormley and  Jean Miro.<br />
India's coming of age as an international art destination and  recovery of the art market post-meltdown will be the highlights of the  event to be held at the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC)  Ground in Okhla.<br />
The focus of the fair is foreign participation. It is likely to draw  leading art houses like Hauser and Wirth (Switzerland), Galleria  Continua (Italy), Lisson Gallery (UK) and White Cube (UK) and  top-of-chain experts to address forums on business, aesthetics, art  practices and awareness.<br />
Neha Kirpal, the founding director of the fair, said, "The 2012  edition of the fair presents the strongest and most diverse contingent  of galleries seen at the fair to date".<br />
Nearly 60 percent of galleries are from Asia, including Indian  galleries, which make up about half of the exhibitors overall, while 26  percent are from Europe. The remaining 14 percent are from North and  South America, the Middle East, Africa and Australia, official  statistics said.<br />
Estimates say the India Art Fair, founded as the India Art Summit in  2008 as a pioneering platform of modern and contemporary art in India,  has attracted more than 170,000 people in the last three years.<br />
"The art fair has seen tremendous growth over a short period of time,  and much of its success can be attributed to its focus on providing a  relevant and transparent platform for the Indian art scene. It has  received unprecedented interest from international museums and private  collectors, and cultivated a whole breed of new collectors and art  enthusiasts within India," Kirpal said.<br />
The fair, which has changed its venue from Pragati Maidan to the NSIC  Ground this year, has made a new fashion statement with a new business  model.<br />
The fair this year will host its visual feasts in designer tents  spread over 12,000 square metres designed by veteran set designer  Sumanth Jaikishan.<br />
Earlier this year, Kirpal had divested a 49 percent stake in the art  fair to two stakeholders, Sandy Angus and Will Ramsey, co-founders of  the Hong Kong Art Fair, to create a larger network. Angus is chairman of  the global exhibitions company Montgomery Worldwide and Ramsay is the  founder of the Affordable Art Fair and the Pulse Art Fair.<br />
"The growing size of the fair, increasing footfall, the global  interest generated by the fair and a booming trade drove the organisers  to invite foreign partners," the source said.<br />
The Indian art market is estimated at a little over Rs.2,000 crore.<br />
One of the immediate spin-offs of the new business model of the fair  has been the formation of the Collectors' Circle - an outreach programme  to build an international chain of collectors and art experts - in the  run-up to the fair.<br />
A paid programme, the Collectors' Circle, launched last year, has  since been able to create a pool of buyers and art lovers with regular  seminars, buyers interface and education modules. The members of the  Collectors' Circle have free access to the fair.<br />
Besides the gallery presence and the seminars, the main attraction of  the fair will be corollaries and collateral events like the video  lounge, sculpture court, art book shop, site-specific public art events  and live art shows in venues across the national capital.<br />

India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna came from a set down to win  5-7, 6-4, 6-4 against Australian pair of Mathew Edben and Chris  Guccione in the first round of the men's doubles in the Australian Open  here on Wednesday.<br />
Another Indian, Leander Paes had an easy first-round clash. Paes and  his Czech partner Radek Stepanek dispatched Aussie pair of Greg Jones  and John-Patrick Smith 6-2, 6-2 in an hour and 13 minutes.<br />
Bhupathi and Bopanna, who have paired up for a Grand Slam for the  first time, made a slow start. They committed 10 unforced errors  compared to eight by Edben and Guccione.<br />
Egged on by a home crowd, the Australian pair took a surprise lead  against the fourth seeded Indian pair. But Bhupathi and Bopanna came  back strongly in the next two sets, hitting 44 winners to advance to the  second round.<br />

The actor played an aspiring singer in his debut film, 'Kaho Na Pyaar  Hai' and went on to essay roles of a challenged boy in 'Koi Mil Gaya', a  superhero in 'Krrish', a Mughal emperor in 'Jodha Akbar', a conman in  'Dhoom', a quadriplegic in 'Guzaarish' and a workaholic in 'Zindagi  Milegi Na Dobara', taking everyone by surprise with his power-packed  acts. But he thinks he is lacking even today.<br />
"I feel I am a very bad actor. My premise is that I can act well only  when I am in a character. I have to know everything about the character  so if I am not living I can’t act it. I have to be that person... if I  am not the person then I will be doing bad acting," Hrithik said in an  interview.<br />
Hrithik also admitted that he can't imitate anyone.<br />

"If you ask me to imitate I can't do it. Some may do it as they have  talent. I get into the character completely then only I can act. I try  to understand the character and then do it," he said.<br />
In his initials days he rocked at the box office, but the later  releases could not ape the success of his debut movie. However, after a  dull period he struck again and is counting his blessings.<br />
"It was January 14, 2000 when my first film as an actor was released.  I have completed 12 years in the industry...I am so happy about it. I  feel 12 years have not ended...not passed but its still a new beginning.  It feels really nice when I think about the blessings. I really feel I  am blessed," Hrithik said.<br />
In Karan Johar's remake of 'Agneepath' he is reprising the role of  Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, earlier played by Amitabh Bachchan. The film  also featuring Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra, Rishi Kapoor in pivotal  roles is up for release on January 26. </div></div>
