Saloni joins ‘Race Gurram’ shoot

Remember Saloni, from Rajamouli’s hit film ‘Maryada Ramanna’ three 
years ago? After that, the actress tried her luck in a few 
women-oriented films but she failed to taste success again. She will now
 play the second female lead in Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Race Gurram’, while 
Shruti Haasan essays the main lead.<br />

My character is quite traditional,” informs Saloni, who followed up 
her act in ‘Maryada Ramanna’ with the female-centric film ‘Telugammayi’.
 “I don’t want to keep playing the same stereotypical characters that 
I’m being offered after ‘Telugammayi’. I’d like to play different 
roles,” adds the actress, who is also busy in the Kannada film industry.
 Saloni will join the ‘Race Gurram’ team in a few days to shoot a few 
action scenes.<br />

Krishna’s ability to lip sync and mouth dialogues in upcoming Telugu 
action-thriller “1: Nenokkadine”. Gautham plays the younger version of 
Mahesh in the film, slated to release next year.

<span style="font-size: small;">“Mahesh was extremely happy that Gautham was able to perfectly mouth 
his lines in the very first take. He didn’t even need retakes as he was 
so confident with his lines and even produced the required modulation 
for the scenes,” the film’s director B. Sukumar told IANS.</span><br />

narrative. He will be seen in the flashback scenes of the film and has 
some very good lines to deliver,” he added.</span><br />

An actress who played a handful of memorable and realistic roles in 
Malayalam films, despite not being a Keralite herself! That is how most 
of us identify with an ever radiant and graceful Gauthami. The actress, 
who won our hearts through her roles in His Highness Abdulla, Sukrutam 
and Dhruvam opened up about her personal life during her recent visit to
 Trivandrum as part of the film festival of Kerala.<br />

“The strong women characters I played in Malayalam films helped me a 
great deal to fight the battles in my own life. Each of those characters
 is special to me,” says Gauthami, who had to fight cancer at a young 
age of 35. She thanked the incredible people in her life, especially 
Kamal Haasan, for helping her sail through the tough times. “He has been
 more than a pillar and is an integral part of me,” she says and adds 
that she made a comeback to cinema holding his hands.<br />

“He asked whether I can do the costume designing of Dasavatharam and I
 said yes, without a second thought. And I started working on the 
project immediately,” says Gauthami. The actress also said that she is 
eager to make a return to tinsel town as an actress and hinted that it 
will happen soon.<br />
