Telangana Praja Front chief Gaddar took the Telangana Rashtra Samithi head-on by launching his campaign for Telangana state from Mahbubnagar Parliamentary constituency represented by the TRS president, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and taking pots shots at him and the Congress and Telugu Desam parties.
Gaddar, who has fallen out with Mr Rao, told people in the villages he visited that Telangana cannot be achieved by the TRS, the TD or the Congress through the political process but only through a strong agitation.
He promised that his party would emerge as a political force and would take all sections of people, especially students and farmers, towards the goal.
He said the Telangana Praja Front was launched to intensify the movement since the existing political parties have failed to achieve anything through the electoral process.
Gaddar toured three thandas in Hanvada mandal besides Scheduled Caste localities in Mahbubnagar town, singing songs on Telangana and explaining to people the injustice done to the region over the years.

He alleged that during the National Democratic Alliance government, too, the Telugu Desam had put spokes in the process of carving out a separate state, as it did recently too.
“The TRS which promised to get Telangana, and the Congress which had promised to give Telangana, have failed to keep their promises. Though people gave TRS leaders positions in government, they could not do anything. The present politicians see only mafia and media,” he remarked.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao, he said, has never raised the Telangana issue in Parliament.
“Precisely for this reason, I have launched my campaign from Mahabubnagar Lok Sabha constituency,” he said.
“A Telangana bill in Parliament is the only solution.”
