“I never refused Vaanam” – Anushka

The most sexy and popular actress of Tollywood Anushka has completely denied that she declined to become a part of the Tamil remake of her Telugu super duper hit Vedam which was directed by talented director Krish. In this movie, Allu Arjun was in the leading role and then actress Anushka has assured that she certainly again would be the part of the remake titled Vaanam as a sex worker Saroja in Vedam’s Tamil.

“I’m playing in Vaanam, the same character (Saroja) that I played in Vedam. When we did it in Telugu, it was a new venture, a multi-starrer and a different kind of a movie. Even though we knew it was an amazing script, we all had our inhibitions as to how people would take it. But we had a terrific response from the media and the audience. We are planning to put in a lot more in Vaanam. We are also looking to make it more commercial this time,” Anushka said.

When she asked about difference between the Tamil version and the Telugu version, Anushka said: “I just started working on this project from Monday. The star cast is different but otherwise  the version is the same.”
