HYDERABAD: Policemen are supposed to nab offenders, but two men in khaki were conned and their two-wheeler was stolen in Bahadurpura area on Tuesday night.
According to Bahadurpura inspector G Biksham Reddy, a Blue Colts team__constable L Srikanth and a Home Guard__went to Devi Bagh on a two-wheeler after they received a complaint from one Dileep, a scrap dealer, that some burglars entered his old tyres-cum-iron scrap godown on Tuesday at around 10.30 pm.
While entering Devi Bagh area, they noticed two youth moving suspiciously in the locality and roughed them up. Later, they proceeded to the godown. They parked their vehicle outside the godown and entered it. However, when they returned from the godown, they found their vehicle missing. "We suspect the two youth might have stolen the vehicle," the inspector said.
Based on a complaint lodged by the constable, a case was registered under section 379 (theft) of the IPC.
