hYDERABAD: The decomposed body of a woman was found in an open place abutting DAE Colony near ECIL crossroads on Wednesday morning.
The DAE private security found the body and alerted the Kushaiguda police. "The woman, aged between 25 and 30 years, had just inner wear on. A sari was found around her neck. It appears the assailants raped and strangled her to death with her sari. Based on her toe rings, we presume she was married," assistant commissioner of police, Alwal, P Santosh Kumar told TOI.
Police are trying to establish her identity. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem. A case was registered under the Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the ACP added.
