Hyderabad, March 10: City police busted a notorious gang which used to kidnap small kids and sell them and released 9 abducted children from their possession. The police took action against the incidents of kidnapping continued for two years and arrested members of the gang.
However city police is not aware as to how many such gangs are active in the city.
During a press conference called in this connection city commissioner of police A K Khan handed over the abducted children who were released from the kidnappers clutches to their parents. However guardians of 5 other children could not be traced. Search is on for their parents till then children will be kept in the hostel of Women and Child Welfare department.
A K Khan said 4 criminals Mahboob Khan 45 Reshma Sultana 40 who are said to be husband and wife, Kamal Parveen 60 and Darshan Malayya Yadav have been arrested.
Mallayya Yadav used to purchase abducted children for 35 to 60 thousand and sell them for 50 to 1 lakh rupees.
