Congress MPs from seemandhra region, who are currently attending Parliamentary budget sessions are to meet the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today. The meeting has been fixed at 11.45 AM and the delegation of seemandhra MPs is going to request the prime minister to keep the AP state united. The delegation would insist upon the prime minister to go along the sixth option indicated by the Sri Krishna Commission.
On the other hand, the seemandhra student Joint Action Committee has threatened to intensify its agitation for a united state. Seemandhra student JAC chairman N Kishore said at Guntur that the students from both coastal and Rayalaseema regions would take an active part in the agitation if the Union government does not make any categorical statement on the issue in Parliament by the end of this month. He demanded that the Center implement the sixth suggestion of the Srikrishna Committee.
