Hyderabad, Nov 20 (INN): The Department of Social Welfare on Saturday announced that online fresh registrations for scholarships to students pursuing college courses for the academic year 2010-11 will commence from November 21 to December 10, 2010. The scholarship process has been made fully online by the Social Welfare Department. Student records will be fetched from SSC / Inter servers based on the application / SSC ID. For the academic year 2010-11, students can apply online for fresh scholarships on the e-pass website from November 21 to December 10, 2010. All students belonging to SC / ST / BC / EBC and DW with family income of less than Rs 1 lakh are eligible to apply for scholarships.
Students must visit the e-pass website at http://epass.cgg.gov.in Students who have received a scholarship for 2009-10, need to enter the application ID, others who have not received a scholarship will have to enter the SSC ID and year of passing. Email is compulsory for all students to send the acknowledgement of the scholarship application.
To apply online student will have to upload a Photograph, Income Certificate and Caste Certificate. The students must provide a Bank account; if a bank account is not available the Social Welfare Department will arrange an eZ pay card from the SBI.
Students who are not registered for the scholarship during this period will not be eligible for the scholarship for the academic year 2010-11. The registration for scholarship does not automatically entitle a student to receive a scholarship, scholarships will granted only after successful verification by the Department. Scholarships will be granted only for the year applied.
