Jagan Mohan Reddy who injured her right knee during the ‘Maro Praja
Prastanam’ padayatra last week underwent surgery at the Apollo Hospital
on Tuesday.
According to a medical bulletin issued
by the hospital, she is recovering well. A keyhole surgery was performed
as there were significant injuries and ligament tear in the knee. She
was under observation in the post-operative ward and would be shifted to
a room later. She would require a prolonged period of rest to recover
during which she will also undergo intensive physiotherapy. Other
options such as cell therapy are being considered, the bulletin said.
The care team includes: Dr. Raghuveera
Reddy K, Dr. Chandrashekar Reddy S.V and Dr. Shivabharath Reddy,
Orthopedic surgeons and Dr. Sanath Reddy, Anesthesiologist.
