N Lakshmi Parvathi, the wife of late NT
Rama Rao on Wednesday has demanded that NTR's house on Road Number 13,
Banjara Hills which was half-demolished yesterday be reconstructed. She
threatened to go on a hunger strike if the house is not constructed.
She wondered as to how NTR's son
Ramakrishna could attempt to destroy a place where his father and her
late husband, NTR lived and led a happy existence.
As the word spread, Lakshmi Parvathi went to the house and looking at the messy state of the house.
It may be mentioned here that two of the
houses owned by the late NTR—one at Abids, was sold, while the other at
the Banjara Hills was destroyed last night.
NTR and Parvathi lived in the same house
at Banjara Hills after their marriage in 1993. NTR breathed his last
too in the same house in 1996 after being dethroned by his son-in-law
and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. But later, Ramakrishna
took possession of the house armed with court orders.
With the destruction of the house, the
NTR family has given room for more speculation on the family feud. While
Chandrababu Naidu and union minister Purendeswari are busy claiming
credit for getting the NTR statue installed in the Parliament, some
others in the family have engaged in destroying NTR's house.
