Superstar Rajinikanth’s next outing as Rana is in news every other day for its casting. Now, reports coming inn suggests that Rekha has opted out of the project. The reason pertaining to her withdrawal from the film is related to monetary issues.
Rekha was to be paired opposite older Rajini in the film but a fall out has been created with regards to her remuneration. Rekha was keen on meeting a certain ransom while the producers of the film, Eros and Ocher studious were not keen on meeting the quoted amount resulting in diva stepping out.
Ocher studious immediately chose to cast Hema Malini instead of Rekha and right now are in talks with the Sholay actress. On the other hand Vidya Balan who was initially cast as one of the heroine in the film is in consideration of following the foot steps of Rekha but it’s not official till now.
Sources say Vidya was keen on reading the full script of the film for which the director of the film K S Ravi Kumar supposedly got irked considering it being a Rajini film.
At the same time Rana might not start in April due to casting issues. Once the casting is finalized this magnum opus will surely go on floors as soon as it gets, said the maker.
Wonder who would be the lucky heroine provided Vidya opts out of Rana.
