History of The University:
Center of Distance Education, Sri Krishnadevaraya University (CDE, SKU),  Anantapur is a part of Sri Krishnadevaraya University .It was commenced as the Post Graduate centre of Sri Venkateswara University in 1968.IT became autonomous in the year 1976. To fullfill the desires of the people of the anantapur ,the Autonomous Post Graduate  Centre was given the status of the university in the year 1981.Initially,the University functioned as a residential University. It was given the status of an affiliating University in the year 1987.
Sri Krishnadevaraya University is located in Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh ,India. It is a public university. The campus is spread over 500 acres and includes facilities like:

SKU Distance Education Admission Procedure:

1. Application form is available on the official website. Candidates can download it from there.
2. Consider every instruction and fill the form in detailed and with correct information. Incorrect and incomplete forms will be rejected and disqualified.
3. Attach a photocopy along with the following documents

• SSC Certificate
• Degree Certificate
• Caste Certificate
• Service Certificate
• Local Area Certificate
• Certificates for Special Category Reservation (NSS/NCC/PH/Sports).

4. Make a Demand Draft of Rs.350/- as a cost of application drawn in the favour of CDE,SK University payable at Anantapur.
5. Enclose all these things (Document and DD) with the Admission Application Form and send it to the University address before the last date July, 2014.
