Telengana Police Dept. to be updated with modernized machinery and weapons
Telengana Chief Minister is on his way to create “Bangaru Telengana” which means to reframe a golden era in the history of Telengana. The revolutionary step to recreate the Telengana Police Department as smart policing department is a never expected step by the New CM. He envisages the Telengana Police to function as like New York Police Department (NYPD) where the principle objective is that to render most effective and honourable service to the people of Telangana.

CM KCR held an official meeting with the police official on 21 June 2014 Saturday where he expressed his idea of reframing the Telengana Police Department launching several new initiatives to modernise the police force and consort along the lines of New York and London police. In all the sensitive areas and crime prone areas about 10,000 new CCTV cameras are going to be installed.
The police officials are suggested to pay visit to York and London and study the measures the cops there are adopting for effective policing. The sole intention of the government is that to see a ‘smart and safe Hyderabad’ with effective policing, tight security measures, safety and security, especially for women. Home ministry of Telengana is going to purchase 1,650 Toyota Innovas and 1,500 high end motorbikes to ensure that police can reach a crime spot within 10 minutes from anywhere in the city.
