Andhra Pradesh Council adjourned over lands issue
Soon after the House assembled for the day after a two-day recess, Leader of Opposition Dadi Veerbhadra Rao sought an adjournment motion for constituting a JLC to probe alleged indiscriminate land allotments to private parties in the name of projects.
The opposition members, including CPI Puvvada Nageswara Rao and CPM Seetharamulu, who demanded JLC along with Dadi Veerabhadra Rao alleged that the parties had earned huge amounts through the land allottments by the government and it was used in the recently held council elections.
A JLC probe was required for protecting the government lands, Mr Veerabhadar Rao said and contended that if any irregularities, prima facie, on land allottments was found, a JLC probe should be conducted.
