Ace director Gunasekhar who is currently running through lean patch in his career is aiming to get back into the elite league with his next film. He is planning to make a film titled ‘Kathi’ with Raviteja in the lead.
“The title itself speaks volumes about the film. Kathi is a powerful title which appeals to all the sections of audience. Raviteja was visibly excited when I narrated this script to him. Kathi is completely different from my previous films. It is a mix of Raviteja’s mark entertainment and my style of grandeur,” Gunasekhar said.
Gunasekhar earlier planned to make a film with Jr. NTR. He also stated that Kathi is the title under consideration for that subject. However, the project was shelved even before it hit the floors as NTR didn’t show much interest to work under Gunasekhar’s direction as the latter delivered duds like Sainikudu and Varudu.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is roped into score the music for Raviteja’s Kathi. Music sittings will commence on the eve of Vijaya Dasami. Gunasekhar says that Kathi is one of his dream projects and he expressed his joy as it is finally taking a shape.
Hope Raviteja’s Kathi wins back Gunasekhar’s lost glory and respect.
