Chiranjeevi in Delhi Chiranjeevi Takes Up State Issues With PMOfficially still the PRP chief, Mr. K Chiranjeevi had a meeting today with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at Central Hall in the Parliament. Mr. Chiranjeevi appealed to the Prime Minister to treat Polavaram, Pranahitha-Chevella projects as that of national projects and speed up their implementation. He also requested the PM not to impose cuts in the state subsidies.
Mr. Chiranjeevi also met the MPs from Tamilnadu and discussed about the ensuing Assembly polls in Tamilnadu. Earlier he met Mr Ahmed Patel, the political adviser to the Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, and the AP and TN Congress party affairs in-charge Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday and discussed the modalities of the Tamilnadu campaign. Later speaking to the press, Mr Chiranjeevi said he will campaign in the elections in his capacity as a party leader though officially his party has not merged with the Congress.
