Despite the Dasara festivities, people found time to queue up at the various e-seva kendras selling tickets for the One-Day International (ODI) clash between India and Australia. The tickets were sold out in less than an hour, with thousands queuing up at the various e-seva centres.
With India clinching the Test series 2-0, the public are hoping for a repeat performance in the ODI series too, despite the absence of Sachin, Sehwag, Harbhajan and Zaheer.
Moreover, India came out triumphant in both the ODIs that were played here so far.
With barely 16,000 tickets up for sale, the cricket loving public of Visakhapatnam gobbled them up with many waiting for hours before the start of the sale at the various e-seva kendras in town and smaller towns in the district (Anakapalli and Bheemili).

The cricket-starved public picked up the tickets instantly without much ado and the organisers too seemed to be happy.
Thousands queued up at the centres before the counters were opened; many women were spotted amongst the crowds.
According to sources, with the centres sold the tickets in no time, those looking for the pricey seats are now trying to get their way through the complimentary quota, while many were simply left waiting in the queue.
The officials refused to speak on the sale of tickets.
With virtually all arrangements made, the batters’ paradise looks all set for another interesting encounter, albeit, under the lights, this time around.
