The BlackBerry maker Research in Motion (RIM) has launched it's first touchscreen phone with a QWERTY keypad, BlackBerry Torch 9800, in India.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 which runs on BlackBerry OS 6.0 has a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen. The
photo features come with a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. The 3G ready handset provides a WebKit browser to surf the Internet.


BlackBerry Torch 9800 has the connectivity
options of Bluetooth, WiFi and built-in GPS. It comes with an internal memory of 4 GB which can be extended upto 32 GB using micro SD cards. The exclusive BlackBerry features like BlackBerry Messenger and e-mail are available on the new phone.

Social networking applications like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube application are available. The Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery offers more than 432 h of stand-by time and 5 hours of talktime.
