As per the company sources, Bharti Airtel Ltd is set to sell Apple iPhone 4 in India very soon. However, they weren’t ready to disclose the launch date.

Meanwhile, Airtel - which is India's largest telecommunications company by total number of users – have already started to roll out their 3G (third generation) mobile telephone services over the last few months across many cities. The iPhone is complimentary to their strategy to engage new and existing users to move to 3G services.

With this phone service added, it will surely increase the profitability as well as boost the revenues of many telecom companies like that of Bharti’s. In the past few years, increased competition is in India over total number of users. More interestingly, this $1 trillion phone services market in India will be exciting in the months to come with the 3G war between telecome operators getting hotter by the day.
