The film industry is a mysterious place because you never know what your fate is going to turn out like. There are many who come into the circuit as directors, make one or two films and then start looking for alternative business options. One such person in discussion happens to be Kuchipudi Venkat. After having directed a film, Venkat went ahead and started a restaurant called ‘Ulavacharu Biryani’. There he is coming up with some interestingly named dishes in the menu like Raju Gari Kodi Pulao, Ulavacharu Biryani, Sambar Chicken, Pappucharu Mutton. This is attracting good crowds. Ideally Ulavacharu is mixed in curd and ‘Meegada’. This is filled with some strong masala and Biryani is made. Then Chicken is roasted and is put into different dishes with spicy taste. Using this technique, Venkat is attracting huge crowds despite his food prices touching the sky. Just like Venkat, there are many other cine folks who are into different businesses. They all have experienced that cinema industry is like ‘Jaarudu Banda’. Some climb it with ease and slip down it with ease. So, unless there is an alternative backup life won’t be that easy, especially for a director.
