The Andhra Pradesh government has warned the private schools in the Telangana region of 'de-recognition' if they failed to open from Monday, Oct 17.

Department of School Education has been directed by the government to take action against those private schools failed to reopen in support of the Sakala Janula Samme.
According to AP Government  GO No1, it has the authority to de-recognize any school.

Atleast 15,000 private schools affiliated to Telangana Private Schools Association have remained closed since Sep 13. While many schools have started functioning in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy from Oct 9, corporate schools owned by managements from Seemandhra region have not re-opened yet fearing attacks from Telangana agitators.

A circular will be issued to schools by the Commissionerate  of School Education warning them of de-recognition if they failed to take any action.

“It’s the duty of the government to provide a congenial atmosphere for the managements to run the schools. We have no problem reopening the schools if the government provides security,” said S Sreenivas Reddy, chief adviser, Telangana Private Schools Association.
