Skin- After Burning

Many of us accidentally burn our skin. But have you ever wondered what happens to the skin while it is burning and after it burns....


WHILE IT IS BURNING:  While it is burning, the skin cells slowly lose their water content, and gets dried up because of the increasing surrounding temperature.
Then slowly the cells start shrinking which reduces the thickness of the skin at that area.


The deeper layers of the skin are still healthy and will continue to grow normally

AFTER THE BURN:The burn just kills off more layers at once and so the skin feels burned and raw until the new skin forms underneath it and takes it place.
