PUTTAPARTHI: After 12 days of treatment, doctors on Friday sounded optimistic about the recovery of Sri Satya Saibaba. Though Saibaba is still on ventilator and slow dialysis process, he is showing signs of recovery, doctors said.
"The health of Saibaba is stable. His vital parameters are nearly normal. His kidneys continue to show signs of recovery, while the infection in lungs has come down," A N Safaya, director, SSSIHMS, said. His pulse rate, BP and other parameters are normal, he added.
Life meanwhile has almost come back to normalcy in the town with shops, hotels and other commercial establishments reopening. Police have removed some forces and barricades in important thoroughfares.
Local residents and devotees continued their prayers for the recovery of Saibaba. Bhajans and candlelight vigils were held.
