Theatre Owners to Ban the Superstar

Tamil superstar Vijay’s upcoming release, Kaavalan, which is a remake of Malayalam super hit ‘Bodyguard’ is all set to hit the screens on December 24th. However, chances look bleak for this film to see light on the scheduled date.

Earlier Kaavalan faced legal troubles due to producer’s unpaid dues and when they are finally settled and when things seemed better for it, in came the agitation from the exhibitors association. Theatres owners association of Taminadu is threatening to ban Vijay’s Kaavalan from being screened as they were not compensated for the losses occurred by Vijay’s previous disaster Sura.

They have given an ultimatum to the star earlier as the same but Vijay didn’t bother much about it that time. As the film is getting ready for release the threat has resurfaced and now Vijay is put in a situation to resolve the issue to ensure the release of Kaavalan without any problems. Asin plays the female lead in this film.
