Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on friday said the party was supreme and every worker should remain committed to it. Addressing a group of Congress workers who disbanded the Jagan Yuva Sena and pledged their loyalty to the party, the chief minister took an indirect dig at former Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy saying the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy never deserted the party despite being a rebel leader at times.
He asked party workers to abide by whatever decision the Union Government takes on the statehood issue based on the committee's report. Speaking further he said "Whatever may happen on the issue, as Congressmen our goal should be to win 41 out of 42 Lok Saba seats in 2014 and make Rahul Gandhi the prime minister," Kiran appealed to the party workers.
