Prabhu Deva to direct Akshay Kumar

Prabhudeva caught many an eye in Bollywood as the director of ‘Wanted’, which is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Pokiri. Wanted is the film which rediscovered the ‘mass market’ of Bollywood cinema.

When B town is completely depending upon the multiplexes and overseas collections, in came Wanted to set the single screens on fire. With Wanted Prabhudeva has turned the most wanted director of Hindi cinema.

Producers are vying to rope in him as the director and Prabhudeva is coolly responding to those offers. Finally he gave positive nod to direct a film for Sanjay Leela Bhansali production. This is an out and out action flick with Akshay Kumar in the lead.

ABCL is trying to zero in Prabhudeva to direct its next production that will star Abhishek Bachan in the lead role. Prabhudeva hasn’t given his approval to do that film but their proposal is still in consideration. Also Boney Kapoor is planning to make a sequel to Wanted under Prabhudeva direction.

Interestingly, Murugadoss gave even bigger hit like Ghajini but it was Prabhudeva who turned out to be the hotshot director.
