Shruti Haasan, who is expertly juggling Bollywood and her career in the South film industry, says, “I always wanted to try my hand at  various languages. Above all, acting is my passion. I feel I am blessed because in Hollywood you just act in English but in India you have options to act in various languages. I feel that Friday’s come and go, but hard work lasts till the end.”
“Since I am working on numerous projects at the same ti
me, schedules keep on changing according to the requirement of the director. I feel I am like an emergency doctor on call,” she laughs.
Talking about the support she received from her actor parents, Shruti says, “My parents have always stood by me. I am thankful to them for giving me the genes of acting, but they have never tried to boost my career with their influence.”
Asked if there is anyone special in her life, the actress says, “I am single. Nobody will accept me with the kind of schedule I have. It’s a phase of life where I just want to concentrate on my work. I am busy with Race Gurram promotions, Gabbar and Welcome Back 2.”
Talking about her rapport with her co-stars, she says, “I don’t have friends from the industry as most of them are busy.  Having said that I share a good rapport with all my co-stars. My Race Gurram co-star Bunny is highly energetic and also sincere when it comes to work and I have learnt so much from Akshay sir who is currently my co-star in Gabbar, he is phenomenal to work with.”
The posters of Race Gurram showing Allu Arjun lifting Shruti has become quite popular. Talking about the shoot, she says, “Allu Arjun is energetic and definitely strong because I am quite heavy (laughs). The pose was extremely difficult but he did that without any complaints.”
There have also been rumours about Shruti being part of a Mani Ratnam project featuring Aishwarya Rai, Nagarjuna and other big stars.
Clarifying the same, Shruti says, “Yes, I have been approached for it but I am trying to work out my schedule. I haven’t signed it yet. But I am thankful to them for even considering me. I will try my best to be a part of it.”
