Sekhar Kammula Is TVK But Not TK

Tollywood is fortunate to have a set of filmmakers who dare to do something offbeat or something they are convinced about. But then not all tend to click at the box office. One man who is considered to be highly talented but yet to make his mark commercially is Sekhar Kammula. Though he is known to be a cult filmmaker with superb skills by NRIs and A audience the distributors are not very keen. That way he may not be a king in theatres but in the TV circuit he is the king. It is heard that whenever Kammula’s films are aired, the TRP is very good and channels earn well from those films. The same seems to be the situation with his new movie ‘Anamika’ starring Nayantara. The TV channel circuit is certifying this is a perfect movie for them due to two reasons. Firstly, it is a Kammula movie and secondly it is a heroine oriented movie. So, we have a TV king if not a theatre king in the form of this man.
