Veteran
Krishnam Raju has many times expressed his desire to see Prabhas in the
role of ‘Bhakta Kannappa,’ the iconic films of 1976. In fact, Old Rebel
Star also had a plan to remake the film on his production banner. Balu,
Mullapudi made ‘Bhakta Kannappa’ in 1976 to become one of the milestone
films in Telugu cinema and Krishna Raju’s career. However, the project
has now landed in comedian turned hero sunil’s lap in direction of multi talented Tanikella Bharani.
The report is yet to come out officially but sunil
and Tanikella have decided to come together for this film. ‘Mithunam’
was the special offering from Tanikella which won the hearts of critics
and Telugu audience recently. How can we forget the wonderful songs of
‘Siva Siva Sankara Bhaktava Sankara’ or ‘Akaasam Dinchala Nelavanka
Tunchaalaa’ or ‘Yenniyallo Yenniyallo Chandamama.’ This would be a great
chance for sunil to get a new identity of his own in film industry.
