these days cannot take any amount of risk. Of course if the talk about
movie is good all they have is about a week or 10 days time to cash in
maximum footfalls, because thereafter it is known well that people will
start looking for pirated prints. So the makers give their best to
impress movie lovers and draw them to theaters. They can’t toy around
with names or castes or communities in the story plot which can call for
controversy. Not even in the movie title. More so with the bifurcation announcement the makers of Sunil's upcoming movie immediately decided to change the name of the movie. Titled as Bheemavaram Bullodu, the makers believe could hurt sentiments of Telugu people in Telangana since Bheemavaram is a town under West Godavari District falling in the seemandhra region. So, obviously they wanted to play it safe and went ahead with the name change. With even Tollywood splitting into Telangana Film Chamber and Andhra, to have a neutral name appreciated by all is very important these days. So changing it to Dasara Bullodu had been the only option for the makers. That said, Dasara Bullodu seems to be more enticing than its previous name version, no? |
