Starting his career as a cameraman, Teja swiched over to film direction with the super hit film "Chitram". Later with hit films like Nuvvu-Nenu and Jayam, he gained recongnition as a trend-setter director in the industry. But lately his films began to flop in a row and nothing much is heard about him nowadays. Sometime back, it was said that he is going to direct a film "Savithri" with victory Venkatesh as hero. According to Filmnagar sources, it's said in fact, Teja has set his eyes on Bollywood and for this he's readying a good story and that too for 'Mr. Perfectionist' Aamir khan. How far it's true is not yet known, but going by Teja's mettle, it's quite possible that he may be doing the film with Aamir Khan very soon.
