HYDERABAD: Vexed with frequent calls for bandhs by political parties and students' outfits to press for Andhra Pradesh's division, private school managements have now petitioned the state government to include schools under Essential Services Maintenance Act ( Esma).
Over 200 schools under the aegis of Recognised Schools Management's Association joined hands to submit the petition to the government on Saturday. A copy was also given to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
While the association is also planning to file a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the HC by the end of this month, Cardinal Gracious High School, Ramanthpur, owned by schools association secretary Srinivas Reddy, has decided to approach the court on Tuesday.
