HYDERABAD: Thre farmers, including a minor, from Visakhapatnam district were caught at the Mahatma Gandhi bus station (MGBS) on Monday while transporting ganja from an Agency area to the city and 33 kilo of the contraband was recovered from them. Police said the trio were hired to transport ganja by another person.The nabbed included P Sanyasi Rao, K Laxmaiah (both 19 years) and a 15-year-old boy, all hailing from Erram Bomili panchayat in Chintapalli mandal of Visakhapatnam district. According to Additional deputy commissioner of police (Task Force) M Sreenivas, a farmer, Bujji Babu of Kutupusingi village of the same mandal, approached the trio and asked them to transport to ganja to Hyderabad offering them good remuneration.“Bujji Babu told the trio that he would pack the ganja in parcels of 10 kilos each and keep them in luggage bags and asked the trio to carry them in RTC buses from Chintapalli.He assured them that he would follow the bus in another vehicle and take the ganja bags in Hyderabad. Bujji Babu offered Rs 2,000 for every trip,’’ Sreenivas said.
