Gunasekhar sacrifices his ‘Kathi’ to Kalyan

Title controversy of ‘Kathi’ finally came to an end. Director Gunasekhar who holds the rights of this title stated that he is backing off from this controversy. “My film with Raviteja is not Kathi. Please don’t call it Kathi anymore. We are in search of another suitable title. If nothing better comes to my mind, I will change the subject too,” said Gunasekhar in a frustrated tone.

“I am not a person who likes to be in news for controversies. I want my work to speak for me. But this is a different case. It questions ones identity. If someone comes and add some word before your title and can simply pass it off as their title by using photo shop gimmicks then what is the use of registering a title? Where is the justice here?” Gunasekhar questioned.

“I was a big fan of NTR. I was brought up by watching his films and idolizing him. Now someone from his family is breaking the rules. If a person hailing from such respectable family doesn’t follow the rules then who will?” he asked.

“I am ending this here. I don’t want further controversies. I hope this sort of injustice isn’t done to anyone,” Gunasekhar ended the trouble with words which seemed sharper and piercing than ‘Kathi’.
