Tragedy stalls Gollabhama on tracks

Varun Tej's debut movie tentatively titled Gollabhama is getting its shoot done in the exotic locales of the Konaseema region of Godavari districts.

Directed by Srikanth Addala, the shooting of the film was halted for a few days some time back and the reason being said is that both the hero and the director are moved by the death of 19 victims in the recent GAIL gas pipeline explosion that happened at Nagaram village in coastal Andhra. Reportedly, the unit of Gollabhama was shooting at a location nearby when the ghastly incident took place.

Moved by the incident, the unit has decided to halt the shooting of the film for three days and offered their condolences to the families of the deceased. This gesture of the unit is apparently applauded by several big wigs of the industry.

Needless to say Srikanth Addala hails from the coastal Andhra region and it seems the director was highly disturbed by this incident. Set in the backdrop of Konaseema, Gollabhama also features Pooja Hegde as the leading lady. Mickey J Meyer wields the baton of music.
