Telugu Film Industry is headed fast towards a major crisis situation.
Several medium and low-budget films are set to hit the screens in the second half of August. Recently Ram Charan’s Yevadu was also pushed back to accommodate Pawan Kalyan’s  Attharintiki Daaredi. This means that August is all set to have a flurry of releases. Several stars will be tussling for screen availability. Pawan, of course is all set to have an undisturbed first week run. However, the same cannot be said of the rest of the August contenders.
Nani, Ram, Venkatesh, Sushanth and Ram Charan are all set to face off each other. Paisa, Adda and Golmaal are all set to stand up to Yevadu for the sake of screen space. However, Dil Raju is notorious for pushing around others to suit his schedules. This might mean that the other movies might be inadvertently pushed into September. Other films that are looking at an August release are Sairam Shankar’s 1000 Abbadhalu and Romance starring Prince.
The current political situation may also play a very critical role in how all these movies perform. The release dates of these movies are again prone to reshuffling at any time. Taking into account all the films that are lined up in power packed August, the industry is counting on roughly 80 crores worth of business. Any untoward incidents or unwanted hiccups may result in big losses for the industry as a whole. The Telangana situation turned fuzzy, but nevertheless, it will have a major impact on the spate of the Telugu Film Industry.
