Well, this is not the game of Box Office collections but about the impact a hero can make on a film when it comes to selling of remake rights. Majority of critics said that presence of prabhas was the biggest plus for ‘Mirchi’ rather than the average script and execution of debutant director Koratala Siva. However, producers of Vamsikrishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati were lucky enough to rake nearly Rs.1 Crore by selling the Bollywood remake rights to John Abraham.
Before this, it was ‘Pokiri’ of Mahesh Babu, ‘Brindavanam’ of Junior NTR and ‘Vikramarkudu’ of Raviteja stood on top in remake rights market. ‘We cannot disclose the actual amount spent by us in bagging the rights but that is a reasonably good figure,’ said sources close to John Abraham to a media agency. In fact, John liked the most in characterization of prabhas and this prompted for the remake.
