Now a days everyone is speaking about social media network and its power. Filmmakers are also getting dependent on them and use its reach to promote their films. This is not ending with it as all filmmakers claim that their teaser, firstlook or song got record number of views. Now many feel everything is done only for the so called record.

Every next day one gets to read fastest 5 lakh views”, a trailer hitting 1 million views, a film fetching “record price” for TV rights, ". Some more samples read  “1 rights sold to Gemini for record price ever!!! (sic)” ,“Super Star @urstrulyMahesh 1 teaser creates new ALL TIME RECORD with 1 Million views in 67 Hrs\m (sic),”. All this and manymore by fans of respective heroes. They are even engaged on youtube war.

Some counter it saying this is only fake and huge claims to attract the attention of movie lovers and generate interest in the film.  In the absence of a mechanism to correctly put together the number of hits a teaser gets, establishing the veracity of such claims is almost impossible. But fans are not bothered as online war for records seems to be the order of the day with tweets like  “King Of Orkut, King Of Facebook and now finally King Of YOUTUBE. All records in the name of #Powerstar #Pawankalyan for #AttarintikiDaaredi (sic)” , “Also highest likes 25k+ (single online channel) All records in the name of #Powerstar #Pawankalyan for #Attarintiki-Daaredi (sic),”
