Story: An entertaining tale, the story begins with Bhatti (tinu anand) who is keen on getting his only daughter Mini (genelia) to a man who can take care of his rich properties and his daughter. On the other hand, there is Viren (riteish) who joins as a low grade employee with Bhatti but wants to take revenge on him as his money got swindled by Bhatti. The story takes a turn when Viren goes to confront in an inebriated state and taking that as the chance, Mini who is not interested in the marriage escapes from the home with Viren. It looks like Viren has kidnapped Mini. During their escape journey, they begin to fall in love. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with a formula storyline and while the presentation was grand, the narrative was good in parts. The dialogues were written with some fun. The script was average but screenplay was woven with good peaks. Background score was energetic but not all songs were that special. Cinematography was a highlight. Editing was upto the mark. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was colorful and natural. Riteish Deshmukh comes up with a good performance and he is a natural performer. Genelia is energy personified and her versatility is impressive. Om Puri was outstanding. Tinnu Anand was effective. Smita Jaykar was superb. The others didn’t have much to offer.
Conclusion: It is always nice to see a rom-com but then that has to come up with good dose of humour and entertainment. Here again, the film runs on a routine path at the start and is filled with regular elements of comedy, but it is the second half that gets into the groove of things and the final twenty minutes are captivating. As such, there are those regular silly jokes and some overdose of cinematic liberties but still, the film does leave a pleasant effect on the viewer. At the box office, the film will reach the safe zone without much difficulty.

Verdict: Passable entertainer
