If reports are to be believed, King Nagarjuna’s new movie Damarukam is gearing up for release in the last week of March. The unit has recently returned from Varanasi after canning crucial scenes of the film for a couple of days. This is for the first time Nagarjuna is acting in a socio-fantasy film in his career. Anushka is playing heroine of the film. Prakash Raj is essaying an important role in this film.

According to film nagar sources, the movie is inspired from the novel The Immortals of Meluha written by Amish Tripathi. Dr. Venkat Reddy is producing the movie on RR Movie Makers banner. Srinivasa Reddy is directing the film which is being made with a budget of Rs 40 crore. The audio of the film is scored by Devi Sri Prasad will hit the stands in February and the movie is expected to release in the last week of March.

Nagarjuna’s latest movie Rajanna is heading towards a commercial failure despite positive reviews. The film has witnessed poor openings in almost all the areas in Andhra Pradesh.
