South Indian superstar Rajinikanth is celebrating his 62nd birthday today. Rajanikanth was born on December 12, 1950. He made his screen debut in 1975 with the film Apoorva Raagangal directed by K.Balachander. Rajanikanth has been one of the top stars of Kollywood for over three decades.
Rajanikanth had a fantastic outing with Robo which went on to be the biggest South Indian hit of 2010. It is the all time biggest hit of Kollywood. Superstar Rajinikanth was suffered with serious illness for about 2 months after the launch of 'Rana' movie.

Now his condition is stable and is back to normal and getting ready to act in a movie titled 'Kochadayas'. The film is being directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Ashwin. AR Rahman is scoring music for this film. Director KS Ravi Kumar is penning the script for this film.
