Story:  A visually spellbinding tale, the story begins with Shekar Subramaniam (SRK) who is a game developer. However, his son Prateek (armaan) is hardly able to connect with his father and almost gives up. It is at this time that Shekar comes across a wonderful game and all his efforts to win his son's heart become a success. But his happiness is shortlived as the game he develops gets a brain of its own and in comes Ra.One (arjun) who is out to seek and destroy a character Lucifer in the game. Shekar also develops a good player in the form of G.One (SRK). The story takes a turn when Ra.One discovers that Lucifer is none other than Prateek. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with a thought provoking storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was engaging at many places. The dialogues were decent. The script was written well and the screenplay was upto the mark. Background score was haunting and three songs were foot tapping. Cinematography was top notch. Locations were mesmerizing. Editing was matured but it was required during the second half. Costumes were natural and deserved applause while the art department was royal and rich. Shah Rukh Khan has come up with a riveting performance and he manages to strike a balance in both roles. Kareena was curvaceous and sizzles in the songs, she also performs well. Armaan was a show stealer. The best among the lot was Arjun Rampal who was menacing. Shahana Goswami was good. Satish Shah was superb. Dalip Tahil was decent. Suresh Menon was funny. Rajinikanth was awesome, he creates a strong impact. The others did their bit as required and add value.
Conclusion: Right from the inception of the project, the film has been generating a lot of hype and Shah Rukh Khan left no stone unturned to promote it. Now, the film has stood upto the hype to a large extent. While the first half goes about in a brisk manner and there is not much story, it is the second half which picks up with good momentum and the climax is something to watch out for. This is a film which will appeal to the kids in a large way and to those grown ups who are kids at heart. At the box office, the film has good chances of scoring success.

verdict: Watch it for the grandeur!!
