An android is merely subdivision of a humanoid,instead Humanoids are divided into Android and Gynoid. Humanoid is a robot whose structure is same as humans i;e it has two legs and twohands Honda's ASIMO is humanoid .Android and Gynoid are humanoid designed to look as much like a real person as possible.
